In Moscow, as part of the “REW-2018” forum, an award ceremony was held for winners of the fourth All-Russian contest “MediaTEK-2018”. Laureates of the contest included projects of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region and IDGC of Centre.
The power engineers of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region won the second place in the nomination “Safe Energy” in the category “Press services of federal fuel and energy companies” with the complex interactive electrical safety project “Electropatrol”. The project of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division “Energy Saving Advice” became the second in the category “Social and Environmental Initiative” in the category “Press services of regional fuel and energy companies”.
The project “Electropatrol” is aimed at the formation and consolidation of knowledge in the field of electrical safety with children of senior preschool and school age and is designed for the long-term effect of drawing attention to electrical safety issues. It includes a social and educational public page for children, teachers and parents in the social network “VKontakte”, with about 2,000 participants, regular interregional online contests on the knowledge of electrical safety rules "Electroscience and Prizemania" for children from 5 to 18 years old, more than 1,500 children annually take part in them, and a series of copyright publications “The Notebook of Electro-Knowledge”, created together with young residents of the regions where the power company operates.
The Belgorod power engineers’ project “Energy Saving Advice”, aimed at educating a generation of competent energy consumers, is a comprehensive program on energy efficiency and energy saving, including social events, useful lessons, contests, quests, energy quizzes, festivals. The project is complemented by a set of specially designed printing materials intended for children of preschool and primary school age: a collection of energy saving tips, bookmarks, flyers, memos and crosswords. The main character of the project was the wise know all guy Energy Saver - an expert in the field of energy saving, whose simple and understandable advice should help children and their parents understand the issues of energy saving. Belgorod schoolchildren fell in love with this character. For 9 months, four thousand children and teenagers took part in the project.
The All-Russian contest of mass media, press services of fuel and energy companies and regional administrations “MediaTEK” has been held annually with the support of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, starting since 2015. Its main goals are to attract the attention of journalists, specialists, experts and the general public to topical issues of the fuel and energy complex, improve the quality of work of the press services of Russian fuel and energy companies and regional administrations, and encourage the best corporate practices in informing the public about changes in the Russian energy industry. In 2018, about 400 works from fifty regions of Russia were received at the federal stage of the contest. The winners were determined by the Expert Council, chaired by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation - Press Secretary for the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, which included heads of the largest federal business media, journalism departments of Russian universities, government representatives and leading experts in the fuel and energy sector.
It should be noted that a year earlier the projects of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region became the winners of “MediaTEK-2017”. The project of the Belgorod branch of IDGC of Centre for prevention of electrical injuries among children and adolescents "The ABC of Electrical Safety" and the project of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region "Comprehensive classes on electrical safety with the team “Electropatrol” won in the category “Safe Energy”. And the branch “Kirovenergo” of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region together with the Kirov representative office of PJSC “T Plus” was awarded the first place in the nomination “Popularization of occupations of the fuel and energy complex”.
