Power engineers of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region restore power supply to consumers of the Tver region

27 September 2018

Bad weather in the form of squally wind and rain, raging in the Tver region all night from 26 to 27 September and continuing so far, interrupted the electricity supply to consumers in the region.

The most serious technological failures in the operation of the power grid complex occurred in Bologovsky, Andreapolsky, Ostashkovsky, Toropetsky districts. In addition, the Grid Control Centre of Tverenergo also registers local power outages in other districts of the Upper Volga. The causes of de-energization are falling trees and branches on power lines, which leads to wire breaks, as well as short circuit to tree and shrubby vegetation.

In total, at present, 6-10kV overhead lines are interrupted, there are no breaks in the main grid of 35-110 kV with de-energized consumers. A special operating mode has been introduced at IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division. Any planned works, except emergency ones have been prohibited.

To eliminate the effects of bad weather, 100 crews of power engineers have been brought in, provided with 150 specialized vehicles, including off-road ones.

If necessary, the grouping of power engineers, involved in emergency recovery, will be increased. All forces and resources of power engineers, pulled together in the Tver region to conduct the Exercises of PJSC Rosseti on the organization of interaction and elimination of violations in the operation of the power grid complex, have been mobilized and in the operational readiness. Thus, more than 5,000 thousand specialists of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region can be sent to emergency recovery work.

Tverenergo asks residents of the Tver region to assist the power engineers and promptly report facts of a power failure on the "direct line" telephone round the clock - 8 (800) 50-50-115. The call is toll-free. If necessary, temporary information centres will be deployed in the districts most affected by the impact of the bad weather, which will be further advised.
