On 24 September, Kaliningrad Region Governor Anton Alikhanov presented the highest regional award - the Order "For Merits to the Kaliningrad Region" - to General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yantarenergo Igor Makovskiy. Igor Makovskiy was noted for his great contribution to the development of the fuel and energy complex of the region and high professionalism.

Igor Makovskiy headed the largest energy organization of the region JSC "Yantarenergo" for six years. In the first three years, together with a team of like-minded people, he stabilized the activities of the power company, its financial and economic situation, and continued the confident development of the grid company. And already after three years the company "Yantarenergo" stood among the best in its sector in the country. Today, Yantarenergo is a reliable, steadily developing company, leading in many respects and taking on the burden of the pilot in a new project for the digitalization of grids. Under the leadership of Igor Makovskiy, Yantarenergo for several years was the unchallenged leader in the Group "Rosseti" for improving the reliability and quality of power supply to consumers of all categories.
