In Makhachkala, during a solemn ceremony, Alexander Matovnikov, Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasian Federal District, Sergey Chebotarev, Minister for North Caucasus Affairs of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vasiliev, Acting Head of the Republic of Dagestan and Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of Rosseti, announced the first All-Russian exercise of power engineers closed.
For one month, 2,500 power engineers of the group "Rosseti" arrived in Dagestan from different regions of Russia, practiced their skills of cooperation in the liquidation of technological violations in difficult weather conditions, working at existing power facilities, while performing their modernization.
The specialists brought with them more than 870 specialized vehicles and necessary volumes of modern electrical equipment. The work was carried out in six districts of the republic, in which about 60% of the population of the region live.
In total, during the Exercises the power engineers of the group "Rosseti" installed more than 8,160 new power line poles, 620 km of traditional wire of overhead lines were replaced by self-supporting insulated one, almost unaffected by external influence, repaired almost 400 transformer substations and installed more than 21,000 smart metering devices.
For the first time at the federal level, the principles of mobilizing forces and means in the joint reconstruction of the power grid infrastructure have been worked out in practice.
"You have acquired additional skills of practical interaction with colleagues from other branches, exchanged experience and knowledge, which is necessarily useful in further activities, and, above all, overfulfilled the plan of the Exercises, thereby ensuring the quality and reliability of electricity supply to a large number of consumers. This is only the first step on the road to constructing a modern electric grid complex in Dagestan. We made it and will continue to move towards the goal," said Pavel Livinskiy.
The group "Rosseti" completed the 10-year volume of the investment program of the local branch during the Exercises. Thanks to the established smart system for collecting data on electricity consumption and new equipment, the losses in the district networks where the work was done were reduced by 40%, which leads to an increase in the collection of payments and stabilization of the financial and economic situation in the electric power industry of the region.
The main result of the exercises is improving the quality and reliability of power supply to consumers in the Republic of Dagestan. Many residents already expressed their gratitude to the power engineers for the fact that now their houses have a stable voltage of 220 V and the light does not turn off even in heavy rain storms with storm gusts of wind that hit the region in early August.
"It so happened that a year ago, standing in front of the Parliament of Dagestan, I said that it was not me who came to the republic, Russia came to you. The experts of Rosseti arrived in Dagestan from 78 regions of the country. That is the greatness and invincibility of Russia, that in difficult times, people, leaving their businesses and families, came here to help us. Thank you for that! We will improve the lives of people with increasing speed," Vladimir Vasiliev said during his speech.
To determine the further plan of work in Dagestan, another 500 experts from the group "Rosseti" are sent to conduct technical audit of the networks until 20 September, which were not repaired during the Exercises, after which a program of the following activities will be formed.
