27 July 2018

Tverenergo continues to actively implement a set of measures to identify theft of electricity and unauthorized connection to the electricity grid. Thus, at the beginning of summer, employees of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division during a planned inspection revealed facts of non-contractual electricity consumption, including in fairly large amounts.

In particular, it was found that the management company of Kalininsky district illegally consumed electricity, which connected sewage pumping stations, a water tower and a pumping station to the power grid. The total amount of non-metered power consumption was 1,127.067 kWh.

Specialists of Tverenergo estimated the damage caused to the branch by this theft at 9,051.508 rubles, drew up an act on non-contractual consumption and sent an application for the offense to law enforcement agencies.

"Tverenergo has significantly strengthened the work on preventing and suppressing non-contractual and non-metered consumption of electric power. It implies a whole range of measures aimed both at preventing theft among consumers and at identifying the corruption component within the branch," explained Denis Danilov, First Deputy Director of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division. "Energy theft is a direct blow to the quality of power supply and stable operation of the power grid complex of the Tver region."

Tverenergo refers to residents of the Tver region! If you are aware of cases of energy theft, please report them by the 24-hour phone line of power engineers at 8-800-50-50-115 or by the trust phone of IDGC of Centre at 8 (495) 747-92-99. Please, remember that the theft of electricity provokes malfunction of power equipment, which increases probability of failure of household appliances, reduces quality of electricity supply, can provoke fire and even lead to death.
