Seven high school students from regions of activity of IDGC of Centre were among winners of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren "Rosseti"

In Moscow winners and prize-winners of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren "Rosseti" were congratulated. The high school students of the ninth and tenth grades, who scored the most points in the intellectual contest, were awarded by the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, Director General of Rosseti Company Pavel Livinsky and Rector of the National Research University MPEI Nikolay Rogalev.

Winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad were 48 high school students of the 9th and 10th grades from different parts of Russia. Seven of them represent the regions of activity of IDGC of Centre.

Mikhail Koltakov from Voronezh was among the winners among the ninth-graders. Mikhail became one of the five contestants who scored the highest number of points in the second stage - 90. Diplomas of the second degree were awarded to Polina Alpatova from Voronezh and Daria Zaitseva from Tver. Another Voronezh ninth-grader, Vsevolod Menchuk, was awarded a diploma of the third degree.

Among the tenth graders, Anna Archibasova from Belgorod was the winner. Her countryman, Roman Todorov, was awarded a second-degree diploma. A diploma of the third degree is with Daniel Popov from Tambov.

The winners and prize-winners of the contest will be given the opportunity to enter the personnel reserve of subsidiaries of Rosseti. In addition, they will become participants in the energy project shift at the All-Russian Children’s Centre "Orlyonok". Also, the right to take part in the shift was given to schoolchildren who scored 50 points or more (according to the results of the second stage of the Olympiad there are nine such people) and winners in the nomination of "Rosseti" of the All-Russian Forum of Scientific Youth "Step into the future".

"The plans of the company "Rosseti" together with our colleagues from the leading educational institutions are to continue to attract more gifted young people to the power industry. The power grid complex faces the most complicated task of building modern infrastructure that meets not only current but also promising requirements for quality and reliability, and it is extremely important for us to involve our future specialists in this work at the earliest stages of their development, and it is important for them to see the goal - to work in our group of companies - and to know that we support them," Pavel Livinsky said.

The Olympiad "Rosseti" was held this year for the first time, its goal is to identify the most gifted, capable of technical creativity and innovative thinking among 9-10-grade high school students and planning to connect their future with the electric power industry. At the first stage, which took place March 31 - April 1, simultaneously in 76 cities of the country, the young people solved tasks in school subjects - physics, mathematics and computer science. Winners and prize-winners of the first stage became participants of the second, federal stage of the Olympiad, which took place on April 21 and provided for the implementation of applied complex tasks (cases) in the electric power industry.

Branches of IDGC of Centre, with the support of specialized departments and committees of the regional executive power and regional universities, organized the first stage of the Olympiad in their regions. Leading educational institutions became the venues for it. In the Belgorod region, a test of knowledge of schoolchildren was held on the basis of the Belgorod Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov, in the Kursk region - the South-Western State University. In the Tambov region, assistance in the organization of the event was provided by the Multidisciplinary Cadet Corps named after the Hero of the Soviet Union, USSR pilot-cosmonaut L.S. Demin. In total, more than half a thousand high school students from 178 settlements participated in the first stage of the Olympiad in 11 regions of IDGC of Centre. 53 winners and prize-winners were in the final stage.
