Employees of IDGC of Centre from various regions of Central Russia on the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow honoured the memory of those killed during the Great Patriotic War. The power engineers took part in official processions and actions held on 22 June, and their events timed to coincide with this date.

Meeting on 22 June at 4 o'clock in the morning became a tradition for employees of Tverenergo. This year, the power engineers drove a column and lighted commemorative candles along the route from the micro-district of Migalovo to the Obelisk of Victory in Tver. One of the largest burials of the city during the war is located in Migalovo. Participants of the militia, political officers and Tver student cadets rest in it, who stood to death in unequal battles with the enemy rushing to Tver (then - Kalinin). The employees of Tverenergo laid a wreath at the memorial located here in memory of the dead compatriots. "To take part in such an event for me was a matter of conscience, honour and duty to people who gave everything for the Victory. It is very pleasant to work in an organization that carefully keeps the memory of the heroic deed of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers," shared Ilya Kovtunov, an engineer of relay protection and automation.

Employees of the Voronezh branch of IDGC of Centre took part in the funeral ceremony at the Peschaniy Log memorial complex in the Soviet district of Voronezh. There is a burial place for civilians and Soviet prisoners of war, shot by fascists in August 1942 during the occupation of the right-bank part of the city. The power engineers together with other participants of the event paid a minute of silence to the memory of all those who died in the Great Patriotic War and laid wreaths and flowers at the foot of the memorial.

Employees of the Belgorod branch of IDGC of Centre took part in events of the action "Wave of Remembrance" held annually in Belgorod on 9 May, 22 June and 5 August, the day of liberation of the "city of the first salute" from fascists. Participants of the All-Russian action "Candle of Memory" were members of the Youth Council of Lipetskenergo, as well as active members of the youth of the Yaroslavl branch of the company together with students of the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University passing their practice at Yarenergo. Power engineers of IDGC of Centre in the Kursk region also passed in memorable processions in the same row with their fellow countrymen - the region that gave the name to one of the key battles of the Great Patriotic War.

In Kostroma on 22 June, heads of structural units and representatives of the Youth Council of the branch "Kostromaenergo" together with veterans of the enterprise passed a column along the central street of the city and laid flowers to the Eternal Fire. A similar ceremony took place in all Distribution Zones of Kostromaenergo.
