Employees of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division, the deputy chief of Kirsanovsky Distribution Zone for sale of services Sergey Kolychev and the head of Zherdevsky section of the service of power lines of the office of high voltage grids Alexander Kostyaev were awarded by the All-Russian public organization of veterans of war and military service "Russian Union of Veterans" with the Order "For Valour". The power engineers are noted for their great personal contribution to the heroic and patriotic and moral education of the youth, rendering assistance to war veterans, rear workers, prisoners of fascist concentration camps and perpetuating the memory of those killed in the defense of the Fatherland.
Sergey Kolychev is a retired lieutenant colonel, went to sea on aircraft-carrying cruisers "Admiral Kuznetsov", "Baku", for personal courage and heroism was awarded the "Medal of Nesterov". He is the initiator of the search work on the identification of the names of the pilots who died while performing combat missions during the Great Patriotic War on the territory of the Tambov region. Almost for twenty years of the search work he managed to establish the names of 41 deceased pilots who were previously considered unknown. On the initiative of Sergey Kolychev and with the support of the leadership and the team of Tambovenergo in Kirsanovsky, Umetsky, Rasskazovsky districts of the Tambov region, monuments were installed to the crews of aircraft that died in 1941-1945 on the territory of the region when performing military duty.
Alexander Kostyaev served in the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan. He leads great heroic and patriotic work to educate the youth. Since 1988 he is the deputy chairman of the Council of Afghan Veterans of Zherdevsky district of the Tambov region. With his active participation in 2005, the military-patriotic children’s club KASKAD, created on the basis of Zherdevsky city school No. 1, was established and actively functions. With the direct participation of Alexander Kostyaev in the town of Zherdevka in 2007 a monument to soldiers-internationalists was erected. Alexander repeatedly became the winner of the author’s song contests devoted to the "Afghan" theme.
The Order "For Valour" is the highest public award of the Russian Union of Veterans. It is awarded for success in the socio-legal protection of veterans, active participation in the development of the veteran movement, patriotic education of the youth.
