In 2018 IDGC of Centre to allocate about 150 million rubles for digitalization of the power grid complex in the Voronezh region

26 April 2018

IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division continues work on the modernization of electricity metering systems and increasing the level of digitalization of the power grid complex in the region. In 2018, the energy company plans to allocate about 148 million rubles for these purposes.

Part of the funds will be used to equip 35-110 kV substations with an automated electricity metering system (AMR). The AMR system makes it possible to increase the reliability of metering for consumed electricity, to keep it under constant control and billing, to receive information on possible theft of electricity as quickly as possible, as well as malfunctions at grid facilities. In total, the energy company plans to equip 142 feeding centres throughout the year. Thus, more than 80% of 35-110 kV substations of Voronezhenergo will be covered by the new system.

In addition, this year specialists of the Voronezh branch of IDGC of Centre will install more than 3,200 modern digital meters of technical metering in package transformer substations (6-10/0.4 kV package transformer substations), transmission of data from which will be made using wireless communication channels. This will significantly improve the quality of work to identify locations of excess electricity losses in the distribution grid of the branch.
