Specialists of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region are ready to work in conditions of bad weather

According to the Hydrometcentre of Russia, in the near future in some regions of Central Russia, weather conditions are forecast to worsen. In the evening of 21 April there is a sharp drop in ambient temperature, at night on 22 April there will be precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain. The wind strength is up to 25 m/s. The reason for wind intensification in most of the Central Federal District will be rapid deepening of the cyclone from the northwest.

In particular, the bad weather will affect the Kostroma, Smolensk, Tver, Yaroslavl regions, which are in the service area IDGC of Centre, as well as the Ivanovo, Kaluga, Tula, Vladimir and Ryazan regions where IDGC of Centre and Volga Region operates. At the moment, both companies are working in the mode of ultimate mobilization and are ready to eliminate consequences of possible technological violations.

In the regions there is a special control over the operation of power facilities. An information exchange was organized with territorial subdivisions of the EMERCOM and executive authorities. First responding and repair personnel were mobilized. All crews are equipped with necessary tools, adaptations, overalls, provided with off-road specialized vehicles, prepared for round-the-clock operation in any conditions.

If necessary, 1,680 crews consisting of 8,393 people, including 92 crews of increased mobility, and 3,236 automobile and specialized vehicles can be involved in the liquidation of technological violations in all branches of IDGC of Centre. In the branches of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region 1,169 crews consisting of 5,768 people, including 76 crews of increased mobility, and 1,947 vehicles are involved in the elimination of emergency situations.

Also, at the disposal of the branches of both companies there are reserve power supply sources, which, if necessary, can be used for temporary power supply, primarily to socially significant facilities of the regions.
