125 high school students from all districts of the region participate in the competition of intellectuals.
The building of the Lipetsk State Technical University today opened the regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren of "Rosseti". It is held for the first time in all regions of the country. More than a hundred pupils of grades 9 and 10 will solve problems in physics, mathematics and computer science for two days.
"I am very glad that the young people from almost all districts of the Lipetsk region, even from remote areas, came to the Lipetsk stage of the Olympiad. This shows the interest of the schoolchildren in the field of energy. Thanks to this Olympiad, we will be able to identify young people, who are capable of technical and innovative thinking," Sergey Koval, the head of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division, commented on the active participation of the Lipetsk schoolchildren.
The regional stage of the Olympiad is held by Lipetskenergo and the state budgetary institution "Centre for Continuing Education of the Lipetsk Region". The deputy head of the administration of the Lipetsk region Yury Taran came to greet the schoolchildren:
"Every region should do everything today to develop the youth. And for us this Olympiad is one of such opportunities. In this hall there are future high-class specialists, whom we will help to get a good education, and they will remain working in the Lipetsk region for the benefit of the entire region."
Until 12 April, works of the schoolchildren will be checked by teachers of the LSTU and the "Centre for Continuing Education". As a result, names of six people will be known: three winners in each age group, who will go to Moscow. The final stage of the Olympiad will be held in the capital on 21 April.
