Power engineers of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region provided reliable power supply to more than 20 thousand polling stations in 20 regions of the country on the day of the Russian President’s election

On 18 March 2018, on the day of the Russian President’s election, power engineers of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region provided reliable and uninterrupted power supply to more than twenty thousand polling stations in 20 regions of the Central and Volga Region federal districts, including 6,900 stations connected to networks of other territorial grid companies.

The task set for the power engineers of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region has been fulfilled. None of serious technological malfunction in the operation of electric grid equipment of both companies was recorded on that day.

To provide reliable and uninterrupted power supply to polling stations and consumers, a list of organizational and technical measures was developed in the companies. Since 16 March, in all branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region a special mode of operation has been introduced, involving full mobilization of forces and means. In total, on 18 March more than 23 thousand employees from production staff, as well as administrative and managerial staff were on duty around-the-clock in the regions of the companies’ service area. The schedules of the staff of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region being on duty were made taking into account the possibility of personal voting at the polling stations for each of the specialists.

The power engineers of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region will operate in a high alert mode until the moment of signing protocols at the polling stations.
