Power engineers of Bryanskenergo work in high readiness mode

On the night of 4 February 2018, regions of Central Russia were hit by a cyclone, accompanied by heavy snowfall and sticking of wet snow on overhead power lines. The Bryansk region was also under its influence. Due to deterioration of weather conditions, a high availability mode was introduced at IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division. The Grid Control Centre of the branch records power outages in Dyatkovsky, Klintsovsky, Surazhsky, Unechsky, Zlynkovsky districts of the Bryansk region.

Power outages are caused by a heavy snowfall, which damaged to icy power lines and falling trees from outside ROWs.

At present, 96 crews of Bryanskenergo’s power engineers and 123 vehicles are working on the elimination of power outages. In case of need, crews from other branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region can be quickly transferred to them to help.
