22 January 2018

In the Tambov region, the grand opening of the first closed-type fish breeding facility in the region for breeding valuable species "Tambov sturgeon" was held. The enterprise with a design capacity of 30 tons of sturgeon, 30 tons of trout and catfish, as well as a ton of caviar a year, is located on the bank of the Tsna River in the Gorel Forestry. The power supply for it was provided by IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division.

For connection of the facility to power grids, a power line with a length of about two kilometres was constructed, which connected it with the 35/10 kV Substation "Gorelskaya". The work was completed in June 2017, when the first stage of the facility was put into operation.

The volume of investments in "Tambov sturgeon" amounted to 160 million rubles. In 2016, the project was recognized as a priority for development of the region, having received state support. Its implementation will allow in the future to provide the Tambov region with 25% of its own fish products and expand the consumer basket of the region’s inhabitants with affordable fish products.
