IDGC of Centre overfulfills its plan for productive power supply and loss reduction

23 November 2017

IDGC of Centre summed up the production activity for 9 months of 2017.

During this period, the company exceeded the plan for a number of key indicators. The volume of the boiler productive supply of electricity to the grid amounted to 39.219 billion kWh, which is 91 million kWh above the parameters of the business plan. Revenues from electricity transmission services amounted to 63.85 billion rubles, and also exceeded planned targets (by 2.433 billion rubles).

The level of losses in grids was 8.99%, which is 0.28% lower than in the same period last year (in comparable conditions) and 0.24% below the target. The savings amounted to 106.05 million kWh or 245.75 million rubles.

The achievement of this result was facilitated by organizational and technical measures implemented by IDGC of Centre to reduce electricity losses.

The greatest effect is brought by raids to identify non-metered power consumption, conducted by personnel of Distribution Zones and electricity metering offices of the company’s branches, including in conjunction with specialists of the security unit. In January-September, the company included in the productive supply 112.2 million kWh of electricity, stolen by unscrupulous consumers, for a total of 297.1 million rubles.

Effective technical measures to reduce losses include redistribution of loads and disconnection of unloaded transformers in substations, installation of a wire of a larger cross-section on overloaded power lines, installation on self-supporting insulated wires. Funds saved by IDGC of Centre as a result of measures aimed at reducing energy losses are used as an additional source of financing to address the priority tasks facing the company.
