First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin presented an important document to Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division director Vadim Yurchenko, which testifies to the readiness of power grid facilities for stable operation in low-temperature conditions. Thus, to date, all twenty branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region have their Certificates of readiness for the autumn-winter operation period of 2017-2018.
The final meeting of the interdepartmental commission, which for several months assessed the condition of Tverenergo’s power facilities, took place yesterday, 4 October, at the Main Office of the branch. Representatives of IDGC of Centre, the Tver Regional Dispatch Office, the EMERCOM of Russia for the Tver region, the Central Office of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision confirmed: Tverenergo is ready to enter the autumn-winter period. At the same time, experts were unanimous: from year to year, the quality of preparation for the operation through the winter maximum of loads grows in the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre. "The inspection of companies responsible for the livelihood of the population is always carried out especially carefully. Almost always this entails the identification of drawbacks," stressed Igor Appolonov, Acting Deputy Head of the Central Office of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision of the Tver region. "I am glad to note that specialists of Tverenergo have found competent and operative solutions to eliminate the identified drawbacks."
The receipt of the certificate of readiness in the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre was preceded by a lot of work. For 8 months of the current year, 27 substations of 35-110 kV, 448 transformer substations of 6-10 kV, 847 km of 0.4-10 kV power lines and 605 km of 35-110 kV were repaired by power engineers in a comprehensive manner. To promptly respond to technological disruptions, coordination of forces, organization of interaction the branch created the Crisis Management Centre, 166 first responding mobile crews and 13 crews of increased availability were provided with full equipment, 19 reserve power supply sources were prepared. Emergency reserve of materials, equipment, auto- and specialized vehicles is completed at 100%.
Signing the final act confirming the readiness of Tverenergo to operate through the autumn-winter period, First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin noted that every year the branch improves its performance. "Tverenergo becomes a more reliable, more stable, more responsible company. In addition to the implementation of annual repair and investment programs, there are a number of serious tasks that are also being successfully implemented. For example, next year the work on expanding all ROWs of 35-110 kV lines is being completed. With the support of the management of the branch, an own shop for production of parts for electric grid equipment has been created, which relieves Tverenergo from the need to procure parts from third-party organizations. This is serious and great progress," he said.
"We will not let the members of the interdepartmental commission down who gave us confidence and a good assessment of Tverenergo’s readiness for the autumn-winter period," the head of the branch Vadim Yurchenko summed up the meeting. "At the same time, getting the certificate is not the final part, when you can relax. On the contrary, despite the temperature outside the window, the hottest time for power engineers begins when neither ice rains, nor wind storms, nor other spontaneous weather phenomena should hinder or will not hinder the uninterrupted and reliable power supply of the Tver region."
