3 August 2017

In the north-west of the Tver region, power engineers continue eliminating the consequences of the storm, which on the eve brought down all its power to Andreapolsky, Nelidovsky, Toropetsky, Torzhoksky, Penovsky, Ostashkovsky and other districts. The power engineers of IDGC of Centre – Tverenergo division are performing the work to eliminate violations in the electricity supply of consumers of the Tver region in close cooperation with the Government of the Tver region, as well as with the regional General Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

The destructive weather caused great damage to the power grid complex of the Upper Volga region. Separate power lines have faults of 1.5 and more kilometres recorded. The wind of hurricane force tore, broke and felled trees on overhead lines, causing not only breakage of wires, but damage to power line poles.

At present, experts of Tverenergo, as well as colleagues from other branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, coming to their aid, are carrying out emergency and restoration work at 35-10 kV high-voltage lines and 10 - 0.4 KV distribution networks. According to the decision of the Headquarters of Rosseti, which supervises the course of the emergency and restoration work, power engineers from FGC UES, as well as specialists from MOESK, have been involved in the assistance of the Tver branch. Together with employees of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Tver region the power engineers are removing rubble of trees, repairing poles, stretching wires.

Settlements of the region, where the situation permits, are fed by temporary power supply circuits. For this purpose, including 20 reserve electricity sources with a total capacity of 1.4 MBA are being used. According to the decision of the management of IDGC of Centre, another 15 additional electricity sources have been sent to the region.

Heads of the affected municipalities are in close cooperation with the power engineers. Thanks to this, the work of technical personnel has been promptly organized in the districts, as well as alerting residents: household visits, putting up ads on local power outages in large infrastructure facilities, indicating hotline phones where they can call for help.

More detailed information on the progress of the restoration work can be obtained around the clock by calling the direct line of power engineers at 8-800-50-50-115. The call is toll-free.
