Power engineers of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region discussed topical issues of development of distribution grid facilities

Representatives of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region took part in the work of thematic round tables organized within the framework of professional skills competitions of crews for repair and maintenance of equipment for distribution and cable networks at the training centre in Penza.

The delegates from the two energy companies discussed with their colleagues the key aspects of the environmental activities of the enterprises of the grid complex. The issues of ensuring an environmentally balanced development of the energy infrastructure in IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region are paid special attention to. In particular, in the regions of the service area, compressive work is under way to replace the equipment with modern ones that have increased reliability and environmental friendliness, installation of special bird protection devices on power line poles and installation of self-supporting insulated wire safe for wildlife representatives, instead of the usual non-insulated wire.

In addition, the specialists of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region paid attention to the analysis of the prospects of innovative development of the distribution grid complex, improving its operational reliability, the use of modern personal protective equipment, the development of energy-efficient materials and equipment for the electricity industry.

Please, be reminded that on the eve the teams of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region completed the passage of the last stages of the professional skills competition of personnel for repair and maintenance of distribution networks. The Voronezh power engineers released the victim from the electric current effect and provided him with first aid, the Kirov power engineers replaced the defective insulator at the package transformer substation. After that, both crews were tested using the software package "ASOP-Expert" and performed a virtual check of electrical equipment.

The results of the competitions, designed to demonstrate the readiness of the production staff for any challenges of the modern world, will be announced tomorrow at the closing ceremony of the competitions.
