According to the EMERCOM of Russia in the Kursk region, heavy rains, rain showers, occasional hails are expected in the near future in the region, with strong wind up to 15-20 m/s, in some areas squally wind up to 24 m/s. Due to unfavourable weather conditions IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division has introduced a mode of high readiness. The branch has increased control over the functioning of power facilities. There are 45 first responding mobile crews of 96 persons, 45 specialized vehicles ready to leave for liquidation of consequences of the bad weather.
In addition, in the event of abnormal situations, 90 crews of Kurskenergo consisting of more than 230 people and over 50 specialized vehicles can be promptly involved.
Kurskenergo reminds residents of the Kursk region about the need to observe the rules of electrical safety - not to be near power facilities. In case of detection of wire breaks, do not approach them closer than 8 to 10 metres and, without losing time, report on the direct line of power engineers of IDGC of Centre at 8-800-50-50-115 or 135.
