Kostroma power engineers of IDGC of Centre promptly eliminate consequences of bad weather

30 July, strong squally wind, heavy rain, thunderstorms caused a power supply interruption in Sharyinsky, Manturovsky, Makaryevsky, Pyschugsky and Neisky districts of the Kostroma region.

Power engineers of Kostromaenergo immediately started restoration of power supply. At the moment 124 people are involved in the work, which are part of 31 first responding and repair crews, equipped with 33 necessary specialized vehicles. By midnight, the electricity supply will be restored.

A crisis management centre has been set up, which monitors the course of restoration work. The power engineers of IDGC of Centre are eliminating the consequences of the bad weather in cooperation with the territorial departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

The power engineers warn: bad weather can cause damage to power lines. Remember that it is mortally dangerous to approach sagging or ragged wires. If there is a broken wire on your path, do not approach it closer than 8 metres. If you are at a closer distance - walk away from the wire without taking your feet off the ground.
