Specialists of the Voronezh branch of IDGC of Centre and power engineers of the Kirov region representing IDGC of Centre and Volga Region will perform all the remaining competitive tasks of the professional skills competitions for repair and maintenance of equipment of distribution networks during the day.
Today, IDGC of Centre’s team will have to release the victim from the electric current at the package transformer substation and promptly give him first aid. In addition, the power engineers will have to pass a computer test to know the current regulatory and technical documentation and perform an inspection of overhead power lines, a transformer substation, a distribution point and switchgear using an imitation 3D simulator.
Testing using the software package "ASOP-Expert" and a virtual inspection of the distribution network is awaiting the crew of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region. The team will also replace the defective insulator at the package transformer substation.
A day earlier, at a similar package transformer substation, Kirov’s power engineers installed a new main switch. As the judges note, the purpose of this stage is to test the skills of conducting planned repairs of electric grid equipment. In daily activities, failure to perform or improperly performing timely replacement of the main switch at the transformer substation and measuring the resistance of the busbar leads to a decrease in the reliability of the power supply to consumers: equipment may fail at any time.
Today, the results of the corporate championship "Young Professionals (Worldskills Hi-Tech)" will be summed up. We remind that participants from IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, Ivan Tynchik and Vsevolod Azhnakin, completed all three modules of competitions under the competence "Operation of cable power lines".
Awarding of leaders of the professional skills competitions for repair and maintenance of equipment for distribution and cable networks, as well as winners of the federal stage of the All-Russian competition of professional skills "Best in the profession" in the nomination "Best electrician for operation of distribution networks", conducted jointly with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Russian Federation, will be held on Friday, 28 July.
