IDGC of the Centre for the safe operation of a highway under construction in the framework of the federal program reconstructs the grid in the Tambov region

IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division is completing the work on the reconstruction of 10-110 kV grids in the micro-district "Novy Tambov" in the regional centre. The work is being done to ensure the safe operation of the motor road being built in Tambov under the federal program "Housing".

The construction of the new transport artery began last autumn and should be completed before the end of 2017. The six-lane road will connect the new micro-districts "Novy Tambov", "Maysky" and "Severny" with the centre of Tambov. Some sections of the future highway run within the security zones of 10-110 kV overhead lines (Conductors). In order to exclude the possibility of damaging them in the event of emergency on the road, and as a consequence of a power supply failure, it was decided to move poles and remove the overhead lines from the road works area. In this case, reinforced concrete intermediate poles were replaced by metal anchors, more rigid and durable.

In total, the energy company will reconstruct 3.3 kilometres of overhead lines. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of July.
