Kursk Region Governor presented the state award to IDGC of Centre’s employee

Kursk Region Governor Alexander Mikhailov handed the badge "Honoured Power Engineer of the Russian Federation" to Deputy Chief Operating Engineer - head of the high-voltage grid office of IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division Sergey Skornyakov at the solemn meeting dedicated to the Day of Russia. The honorary title to the employee of the enterprise was awarded by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation for merits in the field of energy and long-term conscientious work.

Sergey Skornyakov has been working at Kurskenergo for 36 years. He made a great contribution to the construction and reconstruction of power facilities that are significant for the power grid complex of the Kursk region: the 35-110 kV substations Rodniki, Kotelnaya, Vozrozhdenie, Tsentralnaya and Mansurovo. He participated in the formation of the long-term and annual work plans of Kurskenergo for the overhaul and maintenance of e equipment of 35/110 kV substations and grids and the implementation of the corresponding target programs.

As part of his mentoring activities, Sergey Skornyakov trained for independent work a number of specialists, many of whom are currently managers of different levels. Today, he continues to pass on his extensive production experience and knowledge to young colleagues:

The honorary title "Honoured Power Engineer of the Russian Federation" is not the first professional award of Sergey Skornyakov. For many years of conscientious work he was previously awarded the title "Honorary Power Engineer" and "Honorary Worker of the Fuel and Energy Complex", and was repeatedly encouraged by the management of the company and the branch.
