Power engineers of IDGC of Centre held energy saving classes for children, having a rest in the All-Russian Children’s Center "Orlyonok", located in Tuapse district of the Krasnodar Territory. The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Energy of Russia and the Ministry of Education of Russia within the thematic shifts in order to generate interest in the issues of ecology and energy saving, respect for energy resources and the environment, and popularize the power engineering profession.
In the course of a theoretical class, the power engineers in an accessible form told the children about such concepts as "Energy and Power Industry", "Energy Efficiency" and "Energy Saving", introduced to the simplest rules of energy saving. The lesson was aimed at teaching the younger generation to take care of energy resources, saving energy in everyday life.
To consolidate the material, a practical lesson was organized in the game format. For teams an analogy was made of the popular television program "My Game". Vacationers plunged into the game completely, there were hot debates, willingness to act as a team, an open dialogue between the children and the organizers. During the game, the guys once again were reminded of the basic rules of energy saving, showed a video lesson for fixing new knowledge.
The power engineers hope that having received basic knowledge on energy saving and energy efficiency, the children will take care of energy resources and economically consume electricity in everyday life.
