Interregional competitions of professional skills of power engineers of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region started in the Voronezh region

On 4 June, competitions of professional skills of crews for repair and maintenance of 0.4-10 kV distribution networks of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region started at the training centre of IDGC of Centre – Voronezhenergo division.

During the week, the top 100 specialists making up 20 teams representing all branches of the companies will take part in competitive tests in eight stages. All competitive tasks are based on elements of daily activities of power engineers to ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of grids. During the competition, participants will, for example, conduct a primary connection of a residential house to an overhead power line, replace the main switch at a 0.4/10 kV transformer substation, and extinguish a fire at electrical equipment.

In his opening speech at the opening ceremony of the competitions, First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Alexander Pilyugin noted that these are the first competitions in which specialists of the companies take part the service area of which includes in general 20 regions - from Voronezhenergo to the Republic of Mari El - this is almost a third of the whole of Russia.

"IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region have already established a constant practice of mutual professional support, when, in case of need, the power engineers of different power systems work shoulder to shoulder to provide reliable power supply to consumers. The competitions provide an opportunity to strengthen cooperation, which will make it possible to solve even more technologically challenging problems even more efficiently," Alexander Pilyugin stressed.

Mukhammad Bogatyrev, the head of IDGC of Centre – Voronezhenergo division, also addressed to the participating teams, having noted that such a large-scale event will allow specialists to exchange best experience and adopt new practices and new technologies used in other regions.

After passing through all the stages of the competitions, leaders will be identified who will represent the energy systems of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region at the All-Russian competitions of subsidiaries of PJSC Rosseti in July this year.
