IDGC of Centre continues work on grid connection of high-speed highway M-11 facilities

About 13 kilometres of 10 kV overhead lines will be constructed by specialists of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division in 2017 to meet the needs of the M-11 Moscow-St. Petersburg high-speed road.

New power lines will connect power centres of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre and power installations of the high-speed federal highway M-11 in Bologovsky district of the Tver region. At present, the project documentation has already been developed, according to which more than 10 km of overhead lines equipped with reclosers will be constructed. This power line will pass through a complex route, full of marshy areas and crossing the river.

In addition, this summer the construction of the overhead lines will be carried out at the address: Tver region, Kalininsky and Torzhoksky districts, the 4th stage of construction of the Moscow-St. Petersburg high-speed road. Power engineers will construct a 10 kV power line with a length of 18 km, the work also implies the construction of a distribution substation and installation of reclosers.

"The new high-speed automobile road is a facility of federal importance, therefore it is one of the priority projects in the investment program of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre, responsible for high-quality and reliable power supply of the Upper Volga Region," explained Vadim Yurchenko, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division director. "Over the past two years, for the needs of M-11, the power engineers of the branch constructed 10 and 6 kV overhead lines with a total length of 66 km, as well as 6 and 10 kV cable lines with a total length of more than 22 km," the director added.
