IDGC of Centre’s employees landscaped the territory near the monument to the inventor of the incandescent lamp Alexander Lodygin in his native village

15 May 2017

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division performed landscaping near the memorable sign to the first inventor of the incandescent lamp, Alexander Lodygin, installed in his native village of Stenshino in Petrovsky district of the Tambov region. The work was carried out on the eve of the 170th anniversary of the scientist’s birth, as part of IDGC of Centre’s project "Green Distribution Zone".

Power engineers of Petrovsky Distribution Zone of Tambovenergo conducted pruning of grown decorative bushes in the alley in front of the monument, painted curbs, and planted seedlings of coniferous trees and birches.

The granite monument to Alexander Lodygin was installed in 2009 on the site of his former family estate on the initiative of employees of IDGC of Centre’s branch in Tambov. Throughout these years, the power engineers have continued to take care of the memorial site, helping equip and maintain it in the proper form. Thanks to their efforts, this place rightfully remains the cultural centre of a small village in the Tambov outback.
