IDGC of Centre’s representatives became silver prize-winners of the Second Science Slam in Kostroma

Employees of IDGC of Centre – Kostromaenergo division, the engineer of the department of automated dispatch control systems Andrey Mozokhin and the engineer of the energy efficiency and energy saving office Andrey Smirnov, took the second place at the Second Science Slam held in Kostroma, organized by Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization "Vzor Province" and the society "Knowledge of Russia".

The power engineers presented their research on "Smart consumer - a modern superhero" on Science Slam, within the framework of which they told about the unique information and analytical software developed in Kostromaenergo for forecasting energy consumption. The program, built on ensembles of neural networks, allows, with minimal human participation, to predict the energy consumption of both individual facilities and organizations, and also to optimize operating modes of energy-consuming devices. The work of representatives of IDGC of Centre was highly appreciated by the jury.

Science Slam (Science Duel) is an international project of popularizing science, where young scientists in the format of a ten-minute stand-up show talk about their research. Winners of regional stages get an opportunity to present their projects at the All-Russian competition.
