Today, 28 April, the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre on the arena of SC "Yubileiny" held the ceremony of awarding winners of the Ice Hockey Tournament among the teams of subsidiaries and affiliates of PJSC "Rosseti". As a result of tense games, with a score of 6:2, the power engineering team of IDGC of Centre won the victory. The second place was taken by the team of PJSC "IDGC of North-West", and the bronze went to hockey players from PJSC "IDGC of Siberia".
From the hands of honorary guests the prize-winners of the tournament received well-deserved sets of medals, diplomas of winners and cups.
Individual awards and applause of fans were awarded to the best players of the tournament. They were: the best goalkeeper - Rodion Vtorygin (IDGC of Siberia), the best defender - Alexander Lyamin (IDGC of North-West), the best striker - Andrey Stepanischev (IDGC of Centre), the best player - Maxim Malinin (IDGC of Centre), who was also awarded a special prize from the Head of the city of Tver.
In addition, all the teams were awarded with diplomas of participants.
Please, be reminded that the competition lasted two days. 8 teams of power engineers representing the power grid complex of Russia took part in them. In the group stage, the hockey players of the energy sector played 12 play-offs. As a result of the points gained the teams of PJSC "FGC UES", PJSC "IDGC of Siberia", IDGC of Centre and PJSC "IDGC of North-West" competed for prizes. As the Chief Referee of the Tournament Mikhail Ilyin noted, these teams from the very beginning showed a high level of amateur hockey for the game.
The stands shouted during the whole match: it was full of tense battles and dangerous scoring chances.
Honorary guest of the tournament, Soviet hockey player, goalkeeper, repeated champion of the Olympic Games, Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR, Honoured Coach Vladimir Myshkin congratulated all the participants on the held sporting event. "Despite the fact that there is always a winner and a loser in hockey, there are no losers here today, you are all one big team of power engineers, people enthusiastic about the sport, I wish you new victories and thank you for popularizing hockey."
As the director of the Department of Personnel Policy and Organizational Development Dmitry Chevkin noted, support of sport and promotion of a healthy lifestyle is an important component of the personnel policy of PJSC "Rosseti". Carrying out this kind of competition helps develop corporate traditions and strengthen the cohesion of the teams of the group of companies. "Since the beginning of the year there have already been competitions in cross-country skiing, volleyball, and now - the hockey tournament is coming to an end. I want to note the high level of the organization of the competitions and thank the host party - IDGC of Centre - for the comfort they have created for the competitors."
In the course of the award ceremony there were also welcome speeches of Deputy General Director for HR Management and Organizational Design of IDGC of Centre, Inna Gromova, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre – Tverenergo division director Vadim Yurchenko, Deputy of the Tver City Duma Ilya Kholodov. Each of the speakers noted the importance of the sectoral event and expressed the hope that the Tournament will become an annual event.
