Kursk branch of IDGC of Centre awarded by the leadership of the region for high-quality work in the field of civil defense and emergency situations

IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division was awarded with the Certificate of Honour of the Kursk Region Administration for the high quality of organization of work in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and the region against emergencies. The award was presented to the company’s director Alexander Rudnevsky by Deputy Governor Vasily Zubkov at a meeting of the Regional Emergency Situations Commission, where the results of resolving security issues in the first quarter of 2017 were summed up.

Kurskenergo is deservedly considered one of the best in the region organizations for the quality of work of emergency rescue teams - this fact has been repeatedly noted by the regional leadership and the Regional Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia. Twice in recent years, the branch has been recognized as the best enterprise in the Kursk region on protection of the population and territory.

The power company constantly interacts with General Directorate EMERCOM of Russia in the Kursk region in order to ensure the safety of the population and energy facilities, and to prevent crisis situations. The company has implemented a video-conferencing system with the Centre for Management in Crisis Situations of the Regional Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia, and an electronic information exchange system is in operation in the event of extra-ordinary and emergency situations.

Kurskenergo has all the necessary forces and means to eliminate consequences of emergency situations. In constant readiness for departure there are 10 mobile crews with a total number of 74 people with 21 vehicles, including cross-country vehicles, as well as 87 reserve power supply sources with a total capacity of 1,129 kW, used to provide power to socially significant facilities for the time of emergency response.

Effective and thoroughly tested cooperation of Kurskenergo with units of EMERCOM of Russia in the Kursk region, the administration of the region in the preparation and equipping of emergency rescue teams, the creation of reserves for emergency situations contributes to the reliable operation of the system of integrated safety and security of the population, ensuring the quality and reliable electricity supply to consumers.
