Representatives of the Tambov branch of IDGC of Centre became winners of a regional volleyball tournament

Volleyball players of IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division won the annual tournament for the Cup of the Hero of the Soviet Union Stepan Perekalsky, organized by the Department for Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Tambov region.

The tournament has been held since 2010. This year teams from Gavrilovsky, Bondarsky, Pichaevsky, Inzhavinsky, Kirsanovsky districts of the region took part in it. Participants were divided into two groups, winners of which reached the final. Volleyball players of Tambovenergo in their group beat representatives of Pichaevsky district with a score of 2:0, and then in a bitter struggle they won a very strong opponent from Inzhavinsky district - 2:1. In a desperate final battle, the power engineers in two sets took precedence over the team from Gavrilovsky district.

This is not the first success of volleyball players of the Tambov branch of IDGC of Centre. In recent years, they have repeatedly won the competitions of various levels held in the region. "Tambovenergo pays much attention to sports and popularization of a healthy lifestyle, which allows our employees to show good results," stresses the head of the HR department of the branch Olga Vyazovova.
