Rapidly growing economy of the Tambov region requires advanced development of electric grid facilities. Power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division have a significant impact on the changes of the investment attractiveness of the region.
An additional impetus to the development of the Tambov region is given by the implemented by IDGC of Centre in the region project of public-private partnership - the first in the Russian electric grid. It is about ensuring the electric grid infrastructure of new businesses in growing and processing of poultry meat created on the site of "Tambov Turkey" LLC and PJSC "Tokarevskaya Poultry Plant". The agreement is for 20 years, its terms are innovative in the industry, allowing to increase the availability of new electric grid capacity for consumers while reducing the risks of the project implementation.
As part of the agreement in September 2016 on the territory of Tokarevsky district in the Tambov region the country’s largest incubator opened. To implement this large-scale project in accordance with the concession agreement signed experts of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division put into operation the 110/10 kV substation "Factory" in May 2016. The new feeding centre is equipped with the most modern power electrical equipment, which allows to provide the required reliability of electricity supply to consumers and reduce in the future repair and maintenance costs for its service. New and innovative developments in the field remote control and IT-technologies were used there.
By the time of reaching the project capacity about 2,500 jobs will be created at the poultry facility.
"Tokarevskaya Poultry Plant" is not the only large and significant project in the agro-industrial complex of the Tambov region in which IDGC of Centre participates in the framework of the concession agreement. The company already in 2015 provided power supply to a facility for growing and processing turkey of "Tambov Turkey" LLC, implemented by the largest Russian agro-industrial company PJSC "Cherkizovo Group" and one of the leading manufacturers of Turkey in Europe, the company Grupo Fuertes (Spain). The facility includes a hatchery, a feed mill, four sites for completion of growing, a slaughter floor, modern warehouses and sanitary checkpoints. To date, the project has involved more than 200 people, but as the launch of new production facilities progresses the headcount of "Tambov Turkey" will increase to 1 thousand people.
In 2016 specialists of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division completed the construction of power grid infrastructure to supply power to a centre for meat processing, constructed in the village of Streltsy in Tambovsky district of the Tambov region by a subsidiary of "Auchan" "Filet Property" LLC. The centre under construction is among the largest and most important investment projects in the field of agriculture and food industry, implemented in the Tambov region. In addition to improving food stability and supporting farmers of the region, its implementation will create more than 400 jobs in the region. Capacity of the new enterprise will be about 70 thousand tons of meat per year. It will receive products from farms in the region, which after processing will be sold in "Auchan" stores across the country. Commissioning of the processing centre is scheduled for 2017.
Implementation of these projects, carried out with the active participation of IDGC of Centre, is of great importance for the economic development of the Tambov region and contributes significantly to the Food Security Doctrine of the Russian Federation, the state policy of import substitution and the development program of the domestic agricultural sector, ensuring its structural adjustment and the transition from inefficient to modern innovative productions.
