Specialists of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre quickly restored electricity supply in Kimrsky district

1 January there was a local power outage in Kimrsky district of the Tver region.

Power engineers of IDGC of Centre – Tverenergo division in a short time restored the electricity supply broken by bad weather. Two crews of Kimrsky Distribution Zone were involved in the first responding and restoration work, provided with necessary equipment and specialized vehicles.

It is worth noting that the forces and means of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre were mobilized on the eve of the New Year’s holidays. The personnel of Tverenergo, including with involvement of managers, organized on duty throughout the whole holiday week. Operating staff went through all necessary briefings, and the Grid Control Centre continuously monitors the current situation. Mobilization readiness of 13 mobile first responding and repair crews with necessary specialized vehicles, including off-road, was provided for rapid response.

In case of emergency situations Tverenergo has a fully-formed emergency reserve, a fleet of mobile backup power sources in the amount of 18 pieces of 30 kW and above. The mobile backup power sources were distributed in places of permanent deployment, tested and are ready for relocation to anywhere in the region. Persons, responsible for safety of the mobile backup power sources, their maintenance and operation in the field, were identified.
