IDGC of Centre together with the "National Research University "MPEI" conducted an extensive technical conference on the design of distribution grid facilities. The training event took place on the site of the branch of "NRU "MPEI" Konakovo Energy College and was attended by representatives of the technical unit of 11 branches of IDGC of Centre, as well as specialists of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region.
Deputy Chief Engineer for Development and Innovation of IDGC of Centre Dmitry Rybnikov stressed the relevance of this conference: "In the short term IDGC of Centre is planning to increase the volume of grid connection, performed by own forces without involving contractors. High-quality and timely execution of this task is impossible without resolution of all issues related to preparation of project documentation. The today’s conference will allow to discuss the most important issues, aimed at the realization of this goal. In addition, having gathered on the site of the energy college representatives of the technical unit of all branches of IDGC of Centre, two branches of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, as well as leading specialists of engineering and scientific organizations, we realize the opportunity to share experiences, knowledge and competence."
Among the lecturers, who during the conference addressed the technicians, there were not only employees of the executive office of IDGC of Centre, but also representatives of design and engineering departments of companies producing equipment for the electric grid complex, engineers of project institutes. Among the main issues under consideration one may name reviews of typified series of and specialized software for the design of overhead lines of 0.4-10 kV, features of application in designing cables with XLPE insulation and equipment from the Register of Innovations of PJSC "Rosseti", receipt and registration of title documents for land plots for electric grid facilities and much more.
The conference program was designed for three days, the schedule was made very tight. In addition to hearing presentations and their discussion, the meeting participants visited the training centre of Konakovo Energy College. Last year IDGC of Centre with the support of leading domestic manufacturers provided the training centre with all necessary application equipment: a workbench with short-circuit indicators, 10 kV bays of switchgear and control gear, workbenches with 35 kV and 10 kV disconnectors, a workbench with cast 20 kV isolated phase buses, an educational panel with microprocessor-based relay protection and automation terminals, as well as other visual patterns. Thanks to the cooperation of IDGC of Centre and "National Research University "MPEI" students of the college in Konakovo have the opportunity to hone skills in the modern methodological centre, which has become an important resource for training and professional development of power engineers.
"The today’s conference - this is another step in the implementation of the joint plan of the active cooperation of electric grid enterprises and specialized educational institutions in the framework of the Agreement between IDGC of Centre and NIU "MPEI". As part of this conference, we are planning to hold a round table with participation of IDGC of Centre’s specialists, students and faculty of MPEI, dedicated to issues of further cooperation," stressed Director of the branch of Moscow Power Engineering Institute – Konakovo Energy College Nikolay Fayrushin.
