Specialists of IDGC of Centre are ready to provide reliable power supply to consumers during heat-waves in the Central Federal District

IDGC of Centre is ready to work in the conditions of abnormally hot and dry weather. According to forecasts of the Hydrometeorological Centre of Russia, in the coming days in several regions of the company’s service area (Central Federal District) the temperature will be higher than the climatic norm. This is, in particular, in the Tver, Bryansk, Belgorod, Orel, Kursk, Lipetsk, Tambov and Voronezh regions. In this situation there are increasing risks of forest and man-made fires, as well as failures at electric power facilities, so IDGC of Centre’s experts in those regions shall take all measures necessary to ensure reliable power supply to consumers.

For fast elimination of possible technological disturbances the branches organized duty of decision makers, mobile and other crews. Mobile crews are on high alert, their inventory, equipment and protective gear was checked. Readiness for the work of equipment, special vehicles, machines and mechanisms, availability and serviceability of communication means were also checked. Similar actions were performed in repair crews.

In the Grid Control Centres of the branches high alert control over changes in air temperature has been set. Unscheduled briefings on the work in the conditions of high ambient temperature were carried out with operating personnel. Fire safety conditions at power facilities have been strengthened. IDGC of Centre’s specialists regularly carry out rounds and inspections of equipment.

In order to ensure full operational control over the situation effective cooperation has been established with heads of municipalities, regional offices of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, transmission grid companies and contractors.

Accurate and timely implementation by IDGC of Centre’s staff of all provided at work under abnormal weather measures allows quickly to respond to possible abnormal situations at the company’s power facilities, to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers in the regions of its service area.
