IDGC of Centre performed a large-scale upgrade of the business processes software

IDGC of Centre performed a comprehensive upgrade of the Resource Management Information System (ERP), built on the basis of the SAP Business Suite solution, to the latest version at the moment EhP 7.0. The ERP upgrade was conducted in accordance with the concept of development of the information landscape of IDGC of Centre, reflected in the IT strategy of the company.

The new system is unique in its characteristics, and has no analogues in other interregional grid companies. It processes data of more than six million meters, the number of users working in it is over 11 000 people. The system is integrated with 14 external resource management systems.

Application of the EhP 7.0 package allowed IDGC of Centre to add new and improve existing business functions of the ERP, bringing it into line with the current legal framework and business realities. Among the proposed new business functions of the version to users are to change the tax laws in the part of property tax and tax on transport, import of customs declarations and foreign exchange control, a solution on the exchange of electronic documents, expansion of the SAP EAM solution with functions of industrial safety and job scheduler, workplace of an employee for mass processing of personal and organizational data and payroll solutions for SAP HCM, etc.

As noted in IDGC of Centre, the business processes software upgrade will enable the company to obtain a competitive advantage thanks to the implementation of many new functions for financial accounting, logistics and human resources, as well as cross-application functions. And support for the SAP Business Suite EhP 7.0 by the supplier to the end of 2020 creates conditions for improving the capitalization of IDGC of Centre by investing in IT without risks.
