IDGC of Centre is preparing for the autumn-winter 2015-2016 peak loads. The company has started the implementation of the major activities of the repair program - one of the key components of the preparation for the peak season. They start in the second half of spring, at the end of a regular autumn-winter operation period when there is an opportunity to decommission equipment in need of repair, and finish by early October. The bulk of the work is in the summer.
According to the plan, during the year IDGC of Centre plans to carry out a comprehensive repair of 189 substations of 35-110 kV, repair 4,058 transformer substations of 0.4-10 kV and about 17,381 thousand km of overhead and cable lines of 0.4-110 kV, clear 14,402.7 hectares and expand 1,828 hectares of ROWs along overhead lines. In total, it is planned to spend about 1.91 billion rubles on the repair campaign.
Among the large and important projects, where this year overhaul will be performed, are the substations "Gagarin" and "Monastyrschina" in the Smolensk region, "Nuclear City" in the Kursk region, "KS-20" in the Tver region. The first two power facilities are the main centres of power for industrial and domestic consumers of the Eastern and Southern districts of the Smolensk region. The substation "Nuclear City" in Kurchatov is the main source of power supply of household and social facilities of the city of nuclear scientists: kindergartens, schools, hospitals, shops, pumping stations and rest areas. The substation "KC-20" provides electricity to all responsible consumers transiting natural gas on the territory of the Tver region.
The overhaul of the key overhead lines for the regional power systems is being carried out in the framework of the repair campaign 2015 in the branches of "Voronezhenergo", "Lipetskenergo" and "Tambovenergo". Voronezh power engineers to provide the power output of Novovoronezh NPP-2 under construction are performing the reconstruction of overhead lines "Voronezh - Otrozhka, № 49, 50" and "Liski - Traction, № 1, 2". These overhead lines are backbone, transit and feed important consumers of the regional centre, as well as the Southern district of the region. In the Lipetsk and Tambov regions repairs will be on the lines that are essential for the smooth functioning of social infrastructure. This is the overhead line "Ring - Left-Right" in the central part of Lipetsk and "Rasskazovskaya - Kirsanovskaya, double circuit" (Central district of the Tambov region).
For speed and flexibility of decision-making during the repair campaign some work is performed with internal resources, i.e. without the involvement of contractors. For example, in the Lipetsk branch of IDGC of Centre the volume of work performed on their own reaches this year 60%. At the same time, the plan of repairs is made in such a way as to fulfill all the activities efficiently and strictly on time.
According to preliminary results of five months, experts of IDGC of Centre have overhauled 1,345 km of overhead power lines of 35-110 kV, 3,608 km of overhead lines of 0.4-10 kV, performed complex overhaul of 15 substations of 35-110 kV, and repaired 1,588 transformer substations. They have cleared 5,188 hectares and expanded 592 hectares of ROWs of power lines. In general, the implementation of the repair program is progressing according to the schedule.
