Authorities of the Kostroma region thank power engineers of IDGC of Centre for the prompt elimination of consequences of a natural disaster

3 June 2015

The Administration of the Kostroma region expressed gratitude to staff of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division for assistance in the elimination of an emergency related to unfavourable weather conditions last weekend. Acting Governor of the Kostroma region Sergey Sitnikov informed about this yesterday in a telephone conversation with Director of Kostromaenergo Alexander Glebov.

Rains and thunderstorms passed Saturday, May 30, in the region, accompanied by squally wind, led to interruption of power supply in some districts of the region. Power engineers promptly proceeded to eliminate the consequences of bad weather. Kostromaenergo introduced a special operation mode. The liquidation of technological violations involved crews not only of the affected districts, but also neighbouring Distribution Zones. In total, the restoration work involved 36 crews and 42 special vehicles of the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre, who worked in Kostromsky, Nerekhtsky, Krasnoselsky, Kadyysky, Susaninsky districts, the cities of Volgorechensk and Kostroma.

Acting Governor of the Kostroma region Sergey Sitnikov carried out immediate personal control over the work progress. Due to professional and prompt actions of the power engineers, by 12 o'clock on May 31 electricity supply was restored.

Sergey Sitnikov highly appreciated the clear and operational work of the power engineers of the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre: "Thank you for your professionalism and selfless labour," he said.
