Management of IDGC of Centre took part in the Investment Road Show AccEssMeeting China-Russia, which was held in Beijing from 28 to 29 May. On the first day of the event the main topics of discussion for participants were strategic investment projects of the Russian Federation and the investment potential of China, Chinese investment in regional Russian projects, markets of debt and equity capital of Mainland China. Panel sessions were attended by representatives of Russian regional authorities, companies from different sectors of the economy, as well as representatives of the state financial and banking institutions of China and private equity funds. On the second day there was a workshop held of the Russian delegation with representatives of China Association of Investment Promotion Abroad, the main goals of which were to highlight the main challenges of doing business with Chinese companies and their solutions, as well as to raise the level of qualification in terms of the proper establishment of effective cooperation with the state financial and banking institutions of China.
As part of the road show there were 3 meetings held in the format of direct dialogue between the management of IDGC of Centre with potential Asian partners. The main focus of the Company’s presentation was made on the initial acquaintance with the activities of IDGC of Centre, key performance indicators and plans for investment in the coming years. The following indicators of the Company were noted as the main factors of investment attractiveness: a leading position in terms of the size of grid assets among Russian peers, control over more than 84% market share of electricity transmission services in terms of revenue, the S&P credit rating at the level “BB-“ with “Stable” outlook and stable dividend policy. The Company’s participation in the Investment Road Show AccEssMeeting China-Russia was aimed at realizing the potential of investment projects in the energy sector and discussing possible cooperation with Chinese companies engaged in the financing of infrastructure projects in Russia. Chinese suppliers of electrical equipment showed particular interest in IDGC of Centre to get to know the needs of the Company in the implementation of its large-scale investment program.
The main result of the participation of the delegation of IDGC of Centre in the Investment Road Show was establishing contacts with representatives of Chinese business, the Company’s presentation and getting to know financial products, forms of cooperation and criteria for selection of investment projects by private and public investment funds and financial and banking institutions of China in the financing of projects in abroad.
