IDGC of Centre’s power engineers have fully restored electricity supply in the Smolensk region

Power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division have fully restored the interrupted by bad weather electricity supply in some districts of the Smolensk region. According to Acting Deputy Chief Engineer - Head of the Grid Control Centre of Smolenskenergo Sergey Shumarov, as at 03.00 p.m. on 17 April the electricity supply in the region is operating under the normal scheme.

Please, be reminded that strong, up to 28 m/s, wind and rain hit the region on 16 and 17 April, which led to electricity supply interruptions in some districts of the Smolensk region. Smolenskenergo’s power engineers immediately began eliminating the consequences of the natural disaster. Emergency and restoration operations involved 87 crews (261 people) and 101 vehicles. First of all socially significant facilities were powered. Due to professional work of the crews of the branch, concerted actions of technical specialists, the power supply to consumers in all districts affected by the bad weather in the region was restored in the shortest possible time.
