Solemn meetings and holiday dinners with honoring of the participants of military actions and workers in the home front will be held in all 11 branches of the Unified operating company of Centre. Excursions to memorable places will be organised, flowers and wreathes will be laid on monuments and obelisks. Power engineers will visit veterans and war disabled soldiers, who can’t participate in festive events for health reasons, they will congratulate them with the holiday and present memorable gifts.
By the 65th anniversary of the Victory IDGC of Centre will appropriate pecuniary aid for the total amount of about 3 mln Rubles for the war veterans and workers in the home front. Money bonus at the rate of 5 000 Rubles will be transferred to each participant of the Great Patriotic War, 1 000 Rubles – to workers in the home front.
The Company Councils of Youth actively participate in preparation to the 9th of May. On young power engineers’ initiative and under support of the Council of veterans charity fundraising for repair and renewal of monuments to soldiers-emancipators is being held, burial places of the war veterans are being put in order, museum expositions are being renewed and actualized. In all branches of IDGC of Centre members of councils inquire of veterans’ residence conditions and render them possible assistance.
Viktor Ablyozgov, Adviser General Director of IDGC of Centre, JSC, noted: “Every year on the 9th of May we bow low to front-line soldiers for that they have won the opportunity for us calmly to live and work, bring up children, make plans for the future in which there is no place for wars and disturbances. None veteran is to be left without our support and protection, all of them must feel our attention, sincere gratitude and hearty appreciation”.
