The discussion took place on the 3rd of February in the course of working meeting of Nikolay Shvets, the General Director of IDGC Holding, JSC, Evgeny Makarov, the General Director of IDGC of Centre, JSC, and Yury Lipatov, the Chairman of the Committee of State Duma for power industry, with Aleksandr Kozlov, the Governor of Orel region.
The participants of the meeting discussed items of development of region grid complex, reliable supply of industrial and agricultural enterprises, social facilities with electric power, as well as implementation of power saving technologies. Meeting “Power efficient technologies are the basis of future. Development of “Smart cities” under the governor was devoted to these problems as well.
Nikolay Shvets, the General Director of IDGC Holding, JSC, specified a number of tasks, which power engineers of distribution power grid complex have to complete. They are: providing of security of energy supply, modernization of infrastructure, increase of investment attractiveness of companies and preparation of highly professional staff. Nikolay Shvets highly appreciated cooperation of the branch of IDGC of Centre, JSC — “Orelenergo” with power supply chair of Orel State Agriculture University. Earlier IDGC Holding, JSC signed agreement with Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) on foundation of economics and power industry management chair on the basis of this IHE.
“I hope that in several years graduates of our chair will be able to pretend to head not only Russian power companies but foreign grid complexes as well within the framework of integration with power systems of other countries”, — Nikolay Shvets emphasized.
Yury Lipatov informed the participants of the meeting on projects of Federal laws, which the Committee of State Duma for power industry is considering now. They are intended for creation of normative base for implementation of effective tariff regulation of grid companies’ activity. The head of Duma Committee paid special attention to implementation of power efficient technologies, creation of legal, economical and organizational bases of power saving stimulation. Yury Lipatov remarked that power saving program is being extensively realized in Orel region with participation of IDGC of Centre, JSC. In particular, on his estimation, the substation “Zapadnaya” is on the high technical and organizational level and conforms to the standards of power efficiency.
Aleksandr Kozlov, the Governor of Orel region, reported on main directions of realization of conception “smart city” in Orel region at the meeting. This conception is based on implementation of intelligent networks technologies providing installation of intelligent accounting meters and realization of power saving programs. Nowadays power engineers of the branch of IDGC of Centre, JSC — “Orelenergo” have created the full base of region consumers, have constructed modern Network management centre, have created automated measuring and information system for electric power fiscal accounting, have made telemechanization of four substations with 110 kv capacity, a number of Company’s clients service centres works at the territory of region. Power engineers are full of other initiatives. “I am sure that the administration of city will render comprehensive assistance in realization of these ideas”, — Aleksandr Kozlov emphasized.
Viktor Safyanov, acting mayor of Orel, expressed readiness to support initiatives of power engineers and emphasized necessity to develop partnership within the framework of implementation of “Smart city” conception in his report.
Summing up the meeting the Governor of the region thanked power engineers for contribution to development of the region economy and expressed hope that the agreement on further development of distribution power grid complex of Orel region would be singed between region, city, IDGC Holding and IDGC of Centre, JSC in the nearest time.
