Voronezhenergo increases the reliability of power supply of the Ramonsky district

21.11.2019

Specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo” are reconstructing 10 kV overhead line No. 14, which feeds consumers in a number of settlements in the Ramonsky district of the Voronezh region.

The total length of the reconstructed section of the line is about 5 km. The power engineers will replace over 95 poles here, as well as install modern self-supporting insulated wire (SIW), characterized by durability and high reliability. More than 55 million rubles will be allocated for the implementation of this project.

The Ramonsky district is one of the most dynamically developing suburbs of the regional centre. Here the pace of housing construction is growing, new industrial enterprises are being commissioned. 10 kV overhead line No. 14 provides power to residents of the Vetryak farm, the “Khvoyniy” and “Lesnoy” residential areas, a number of streets in the Yamnoye village, as well as various enterprises in the industrial zone of the district. The modernization of the line will significantly increase its transmission capacity, which will contribute to improving the quality and reliability of energy supply of the mentioned settlements, as well as provide the possibility of grid connection of new customers.

The electrical safety rules provide for a temporary power outage during scheduled activities on electrical grids. In the temporary de-energized zone, there are household and industrial customers receiving electricity from this overhead line, as well as a number of different infrastructure facilities, for example, traffic lights located at the pedestrian crossing of the M4 Don highway in the “Grad” shopping centre. In accordance with applicable law, Voronezhenergo’s specialists agreed in advance on interruptions in energy supply with the administrations of the settlements, industrial enterprises, as well as other responsible organizations. You can find out the date and time of planned power outages on the website of the Voronezh branch of Rosseti Centre in the section “Customers” at https://www.mrsk-1.ru/customers/services/transmission/disconnection/281/#&start=20.11.2019.

“Despite the rather large amount of work carried out on the line, we minimize the periods of power outages for customers - during the reconstruction we switch them to power on the backup lines. Thus, interruptions in power supply are limited only by the time necessary to carry out the required switches of the equipment,” stressed Vyacheslav Antonov, the chief engineer of Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo.

Voronezhenergo’s experts are asking customers to understand the temporary inconvenience and reminds that the reconstruction of the power line is aimed primarily at ensuring their high-quality and reliable energy supply.

Detailed information on the progress of work can be obtained by calling the power specialists’ toll-free 24 hours telephone line at 8 800 50 50 115 or 13-50 (from landlines).
