Voronezh power engineers purchased a unique special vehicle to clear ROWs along power lines

30.10.2012

IDGC of Centre — Voronezhenergo division bought a tractor Treemme MM180B with mulcher MidiForst DT200, intended to clear the buffer zones of power lines.

By the end of the year it is planned to purchase four unique vehicles worth 14 million rubles each.

A mulcher, which is mounted on the tractor, is designed for chopping wood and brush on the root. Thus, in the process of clearing ROWs for power line facilities there is no need to remove felling residues, which are processed into chips.

“For Voronezh power engineers the problem of clearing ROWs along power lines is one of the most critical and time-consuming. But this tractor and the brush cutter mounted on it greatly simplifies and speeds up these works,”- stressed Chief of mechanization and transport Service of logistics and procurement Office of IDGC of Centre — Voronezhenergo division Roman Perepelkin.
