Igor Makovskiy: Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region are contributing to meeting the needs of 20 regions of the country in new schools and kindergartens

25 August 2020

On the eve of the new academic year, specialists of branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region connected a number of school and preschool educational institutions in the regions where they operate (the companies operate in 20 constituent entities of the Russian Federation).

In the Belgorod region, work has been completed on the grid connection of four kindergartens for 99 places each, which are currently being completed in Belgorod and the individual housing development microdistricts “Streletskoye-59” and “Parus” in the settlement of Dubovoye and “Maysky-8” in the Belgorodsky district. The institutions are provided with primary and backup power supply sources. To connect them to the centralized power supply, the specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Belgorodenergo” installed transformer substations equipped with the latest relay protection and automation equipment and reactive power compensation devices, which will make it possible to efficiently use energy resources.

In addition, the Belgorod power engineers completed the grid connection of the reconstructed school buildings in the town of Graivoron, the villages of Sergievka and Kochegury of the Krasnoyaruzhsky and Chernyansky districts, as well as in the individual housing development microdistrict “Tavrovo-10” of the Belgorodsky district, and the addition of an elementary school unit to the Mayskaya Gymnasium in the settlement of Maysky. In Stary Oskol, Alekseevka, the villages of Nasonovo and Yutanovka of the Valuisky and Volokonovsky districts, electricity was supplied to the renovated kindergarten buildings. The total capacity of the connected facilities exceeded 1.5 MW. All work was carried out using the latest domestic equipment and materials.

The branch “Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Udmurtenergo” completed work on connecting a kindergarten for 116 places to grids in the residential area “Selkhozvystavka” of the Industrial district of Izhevsk. The construction of the new preschool institution in the capital of the region began last year; the facility is planned to be completed by the end of 2020. To connect the kindergarten, the power engineers designed and constructed two 0.4 kV cable lines. Taking into account the planned terms of commissioning of the facility, all work was completed as quickly as possible.

In the Voronezh region, the power engineers increased the capacity by 250 kW and raised the reliability category of power supply for the reconstructed school in the village of Aleksandrovka Donskaya in the Pavlovsky district. To ensure the power supply of the renovated educational institution, designed to educate 220 children, the specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo” constructed two 10 kV overhead lines with a total length of 3.7 km and installed a new transformer substation.

The branch “Rosseti Centre Yarenergo” provided 133 kW of power for the second building of the “Ivushka” kindergarten, built in the village of Ivnyaki of the Yaroslavl municipal district. The new building can accommodate up to 120 kids and will help meet the needs of the district in preschool educational institutions: the main building of the kindergarten, opened in 2016, is now overcrowded.

A number of facilities connected by Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region are being built within the framework of specialized state programs and national projects. In the Lipetsk region, the power engineers provided capacity to the kindergarten under construction in the settlement of Yuzhny in the village of Khlevnoye within the framework of the federal program “Integrated development of rural areas” and a boiler house that will provide its autonomous heating. The new kindergarten will accept 80 first kids in November.

In the Vladimir region, a kindergarten for 108 children in the village of Snovitsy of the Suzdalsky district, built as part of the “Demography” national project, is connected to the grid. The opening of the new preschool institution will help solve the problem of the lack of places in kindergartens in the municipality, including for toddlers. Within the framework of the same national project, a new kindergarten was erected in the village of Vizimyary of the Kilemarsky district of the Republic of Mari El. Its grid connection in July was provided by the power engineers of the branch “Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Marienergo”. The opening of the new preschool is scheduled for early September.

A number of projects will be completed by the end of this year. In particular, in the Kursk region, the power engineers will connect the Chernovetsk secondary school in the Pristensky district and a kindergarten for 140 children in the city of Lgov to grids.

“High-quality and reliable power supply of educational institutions has been and remains for us a constant priority and an important social function. Timely and in full, fulfilling the obligations to connect them to power grids, we contribute to meeting the needs of 20 regions of the country in new schools and kindergartens, we promote the implementation of national projects and government programs aimed at this; we create conditions for a comprehensive and harmonious upbringing and development of future generations,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.
