IDGC Holding – for development of domestic cosmonautics

Director General of IDGC Holding, OJSC Nikolay Schvets sent telegram of congratulations to daughter of the first cosmonaut of the planet Yury Gagarin, Director General of State Historic and Cultural Reserve Museum “Moscow Kremlin” Elena Gagarina in connection with 50th Anniversary of domestic cosmonautics.

“Date of April, 12th, equal to May, 09th, entered the calendar for ever as the most respected and really heroic, celebrated by all patriots of Motherland at dictation of heart and grateful memory. Unprecedented deed, made by Your father embodied labor heroism and unblinking devotion to Motherland of our nation, raised authority of Motherland on unattainable altitude. Russia continues to be great spacefaring nation”, — is said in the telegram.

“Let us express to You, dear Elena Yur’yevna, on this field day gratitude of 190-thousand personnel of distribution electric grid complex of IDGC Holding, which social mission is to bring light to people, for incessant labor on immortalization of heroic deed of the first cosmonaut of the Earth, for sequence and indefatigability in reserving of national historical and cultural treasures, embodied in expositions and treasuries of Moscow Kremlin’s Museums”. Director General of IDGC Holding marked that “kind relations will get further development and give new spiritual impulse to commonwealth of our collectives”.

Complex of measures for providing of reliable electric power supply and qualitative lighting of motherland of Yu.A. Gagarin — City of Gagarin (till 1968 — Gzhatsk) is completed in branch of IDGC of Centre, OJSC “Smolenskenergo” to Cosmonautics Day.

During reconstruction of electric grid of City of Gagarin of Smolensk Region replacement of 4.5 km of power grid and more than 15 km of grid of outdoor lighting was carried out. For the first time, practically in all central streets of the city, self-supporting insulated wire (SIW) was used on overhead electric power transmission lines, more than 300 of new lights were installed.
