Power engineers of Rosseti Centre completed the implementation of a large-scale project for the improvement and street lighting of Yaroslavl

22 December 2022 The improvement work began in May 2021 with the execution of an energy service contract concluded between the Government of the Yaroslavl Region and Rosseti Centre, PJSC, represented by Governor Dmitry Mironov and the head of the energy company Igor Makovskiy.

As part of the contract, obsolete lighting fixtures were replaced and 27,505 modern LED ones were installed, including on Strelka, one of the most popular places among residents and guests of Yaroslavl. The project received a lot of positive feedback.

This year, the work continued with the implementation of architectural and artistic illumination of about 60 monuments of history and culture, as well as the Oktyabrsky Bridge.

The final stage of the large-scale project for the improvement and street lighting of the capital of the Yaroslavl region was the installation of a stylized pole in the form of the coat of arms of Yaroslavl, which is located at the intersection of Moskovsky Prospekt with Krivov Street. The structure replaced the existing 110 kV Yuzhnaya-Institutskaya overhead line pole. At night, it will be illuminated by decorative lighting. In the spring, the area around it will be landscaped.

“We have carried out large-scale work on lighting the capital of the region. This is an extremely important project, since it is not only the safety, but also the comfort of the citizens. Despite the large-scale economic challenges that our country has faced this year, we not only provide reliable power supply, we make people’s lives brighter and safer, and we also implement projects that in themselves can become centres of attraction for guests and residents of Yaroslavl,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC and Rosseti Centre and Volga region.
