Igor Makovskiy: the zone for the introduction of special security measures in the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions has been expanded

14 October 2022 General Director of Rosseti Centre held special operational Headquarters, where he heard reports on the implementation of the order to expand the special operation zone at the border energy facilities of the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions. The corresponding decision was made in connection with the increased risk of fire damage.

Thus, in the past 24 hours alone, there were 5 fire incidents at facilities of Belgorodenergo and Kurskenergo. In particular, the 110 kV Tetkino substation in the Kursk region was shelled. Earlier the measures to improve safety prevented casualties and injuries among workers, and the installed concrete block fences prevented the complete destruction of the facility.

“The critical infrastructure of the border areas is today the target of heightened terrorist threats. At the moment, all possible measures for the safe conduct of work and accommodation of personnel have been significantly strengthened, taking into account existing experience. They must ensure the maximum safety of our employees, who ensure the reliability of regular power supply to residents and are responsible for the repair of damaged power facilities,” Igor Makovskiy stressed.
