On 23 August, a working meeting was held between Acting Head of the Republic of Mari El Yury Zaitsev and General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC Igor Makovskiy. The parties discussed the preparation of the region’s power grid infrastructure for the upcoming autumn-winter period and the passage of the fire season.
At the site of Marienergo’s Multifunctional Information and Technology Centre, Igor Makovskiy and Acting Head of the Region heard a report on the failure-free passage of the fire season and measures to prevent damage to power grid facilities due to forest fires and, as a result, loss of power to consumers. Specialists of the branch keep fire risks under special control, participate in the search for thermal points, isolate and eliminate existing fires.
“Today, the power engineers have stood shoulder to shoulder with the services that are fighting abnormal forest fires in Mari El, as well as the Ryazan and Nizhny Novgorod regions. We cooperate with the administrative authorities to prevent fires, actively participate in extinguishing. We are a support and a resource for all regions of our presence and we do our best to solve any problems in the interests of the residents,” emphasized Igor Makovskiy.
Acting Head of the Region noted the quality work of Marienergo’s employees, emphasizing that it is the leading power grid company of the republic, and expressed gratitude for the reliable power supply to the residents of Mari El. “We are actively cooperating with the regional branch of the company. Its activities are becoming more high-tech. I am sure that we will always interact constructively on all issues in the future,” said Yury Zaitsev.
