Power engineers from Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region conducted more than 500 electrical safety classes for children

25 July 2022 Often, children do not fully understand the danger posed by electricity, and do not know how to behave in order not to get energized. Meanwhile, a harmless desire to take a “selfie”, fly kites on premises of energy facilities and go fishing near power lines can lead to tragic consequences.

That is why, during the summer holidays, power engineers visit educational institutions and summer camps in all regions where the Companies operate, where they explain to children in a simple and accessible way the important rules of safe behaviour, the knowledge of which can save their lives and health. Employees of the companies hold thematic quizzes and contests, show cartoons, and hand over souvenirs and colouring books to help consolidate the acquired knowledge.

“Conducting classes is an important and useful tool in the prevention of children’s electrical injuries. It is important to convey to each child an understanding of the dangers of electric current to prevent accidents. This is especially true during the summer holidays, when children spend a lot of time outside the home and are unsupervised by adults,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC.
